The ETH AI Center and Bosch Health Campus deepen their partnership to translate AI research into clinical impacts and inform about their joint fellowship programmes.
AI is driving a revolution in healthcare and medicine, but moving from promising models to safe, deployable, and scalable clinical solutions remains a central challenge. That is why ETH Zurich’s AI Center and the Bosch Health Campus (BHC) in Stuttgart are building a long-term collaboration that bridges fundamental research, clinical expertise, and real-world deployment.
Now in its second year, the ETH–BHC Joint Fellowship Programme is gaining momentum as a shared platform to advance applied AI for the healthcare of tomorrow. The partnership currently supports two postdoctoral fellowships at the ETH AI Center and two at the Bosch Health Campus, with nearly 1 million EUR in funding. Two additional fellowships are planned to start in 2026, further expanding the programme’s reach.
The first two ETH AI Center fellows in the programme are affiliated with D-BSSE labs: Marina Esteban, who started her postdoc in 2024 under the supervision of Niko Beerenwinkel (Computational Biology lab at D-BSSE) and Valentina Boeva (ETH-Department of Computer Science D-INFK), and Melanie Roschewitz, who started her postdoc in 2025 under the supervision of Michael Moor (Medical AI lab at D-BSSE) and Julia Vogt (also D-INFK; find an interview with Melanie ).
