The Turkish Studies Minor is designed for students interested in developing proficiency in the Turkish language and culture, as complement to their disciplinary major. for the Undergraduate Minor in Turkish Studies
Upon completing a minor in Turkish Studies, students will be able to:
- Produce Turkish across the skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking at an intermediate level of proficiency and accuracy in interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational modes of communication, especially in familiar and everyday contexts.
- Identify, analyze, and make effective use of authentic Turkish sources, including texts, media, and digital resources, for academic or professional purposes.
- Explain key products, practices, and perspectives of the Turkish-speaking culture and compare them with their own and other cultural contexts.
