## Overview

This course is designed for those interested in film, culture, and societal issues – especially in relation to health and well-being. Through lectures and seminars with researchers from film studies, law, and medicine, you’ll gain a multifaceted view of how different disciplines interpret and complement each other. You’ll learn to analyse film and music as expressions of crisis and recovery, and reflect on their significance for both individuals and society.

## Teaching and learning

The course is offered online at quarter-time pace during November and December, with seminars in the afternoon. You’ll work with texts and audiovisual material, discussing representations of health and well-being based on WHO’s holistic definition of health. The course is a collaboration between several faculties at Lund University and is taught in English.

## After the course

After completing the course, you will have developed your ability to analyse and evaluate artistic representations of crisis and well-being. You’ll gain insight into how different academic perspectives can work together to deepen our understanding of the human condition – and how film and music can contribute to public discourse, empathy, and change.

Citizens of countries outside:

- The European Union (EU)
- The European Economic Area (EEA) and
- Switzerland

are required to pay tuition fees. You pay an instalment of the tuition fee in advance of each \
