- Overview
## Overview
This course provides you with opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in sustainability science by deepening your understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of participatory methods. The course is based on transformative student learning, in which you develop knowledge and skills in sustainability problem-solving processes through iterative activities such as idea generation, reflection, theorising, stakeholder interaction, and real-world experience to foster action for sustainability. Specifically, the course fuses the knowledge and skills you have gained from the first programme courses with new knowledge and competencies focused on purposeful interaction with different societal actors.
The transformative learning component is facilitated through working with societal actors to create critical awareness, enabling salient responses to sustainability problems to be devised and tested through group projects. As a key part of this learning process, you develop skills in sustainability leadership and systematic collaboration with actors within and outside academia, especially those relevant to devising meaningful responses to sustainability challenges.
