Overview
This course is designed to inspire and engage you in global health. Whether you are already active in the field or aspire to be, you are welcome to participate. We value diversity and encourage students from all disciplines to participate, even if you do not have a background in health sciences. The course's assignments give you the chance to immerse yourself in topics that fascinate you, and through meaningful discussions, you contribute to enriching the learning of your fellow students.
The course emphasizes the importance of applying multidisciplinary perspectives to global health in order to promote collaboration and sustainable development. By highlighting the different professional roles in global health, the course emphasizes the importance of using a multifaceted approach to advance research and practical applications in the field.

Teaching and learning
This course is given remotely and consists of recorded lectures, written study material, exercises, written discussions and digital meetings. The course is based on self-directed learning without scheduled elements, where you are expected to take responsibility for your own learning. The program is designed to promote your independent work and critical reflection in a digital environment.
After the course
After completing the course, you should be able to define relevant health indicators and measures of population health, account for the development of population health over time, and define health determinants. You will also be able to describe key actors in global health and discuss their role in achieving the global development goals. The course provides you with knowledge of key conventions, relevant global agreements and objectives, as well as guidelines for working with global health.
You will develop skills in compiling and interpreting relevant literature and facts in global health, proposing appropriate strategies for health promotion globally and nationally, and relating global
health to economic, social and ecological sustainability. The course encourages you to discuss different disciplines, professional fields and actors in the work with global health.
Further studies may include in-depth study in global health, public health, or related fields. The course provides a good basis for reflecting on challenges and opportunities in global health with an interdisciplinary approach, and to apply perspectives such as ethics, equality, rights or gender to work in global health.

Tuition fees for non-EU/EEA citizens
Citizens of countries outside:

are required to pay tuition fees. You pay an instalment of the tuition fee in advance of each \ semester.
