Lund University welcomes prospective and admitted students to explore our campus, meet our community, and learn what it’s like to study at one of Europe’s leading universities. Join us for a full day of activities designed to answer your questions and introduce you to life in Lund.
The programme – Open Day 2026
8:30–9:00 – Registration and check-in
Check in, collect your materials, and get ready for an exciting day on campus!
Hosted at Kulturen Auditorium (Tegnérsplatsen 6, 223 50 Lund).
9:00–9:30 – Welcome to Lund University
Begin the day with a warm welcome from university staff, an overview of the day’s programme, and introductions from our student ambassadors.
9:45–10:45 – Morning sessions 1 (Split sessions)
Admitted students
Walk to AF Borgen (Sandgatan 2) for a mingle session with our Student services.
Meet representatives from Housing, Alumni Relations, the Student Health Centre, and other key services. Connect with current students from different faculties and ask questions to the Global Student Recruitment Team.
Prospective students
Attend an information session at Kulturen (Tegnérsplatsen 6, 223 50 Lund) and learn about Lund University’s 140+ English-taught programmes, the admissions process, and what makes Lund a top internationalstudy destination. The session is presented by the Global Student Recruitment Team.
11:00–12:00 – Morning sessions 2 (Split sessions)
Admitted students
Join an information session at Kulturen (Tegnérsplatsen 6, 223 50 Lund). You will receive practical guidance from the International Desk on pre-arrival preparations, housing, Arrival Day, and Orientation Week.
Prospective students
At AF Borgen (Sandgatan 2), you will get the chance to mingle with our Student services.
Meet representatives from Housing, Alumni Relations, the Student Health Centre, and other key services. Connect with current students from different faculties and ask questions to the Global Student Recruitment Team.
12:00–13:00 – Lunch break

Want to try classic Swedish comfort food? Swedish Express is a student favorite for meatballs, wallenbergare, and lingonberry sauce. Quick, tasty, and perfect to enjoy outside on Clemenstorget next door.
Clemens Falafel

No student food list is complete without a great kebab spot, and this one is always top-ranked. Falafel wraps, kebab plates…you can’t go wrong. Grab it to go and enjoy your meal by the fountain outside Grand Hotel.
Fengsson Dumpling House

- Cuisine: Chinese
A beloved hidden gem. Despite its basement location, Fengsson serves handmade dumplings that students swear by. Seating is limited, so most people take their portion to go - often straight to the steps of the University House.
Lund Saluhall

Eating with a group? Lund’s food hall is the perfect solution. With 8 restaurants offering everything from Italian and Vietnamese to French and Texas BBQ, there’s something for everyone.
Africa Daily Market

Warm, welcoming, and absolutely delicious. Their 105 kr buffet includes a mix of vegan and meat dishes, all home-cooked and full of flavor. Students love both the food and the owner’s hospitality.

A great place to try Sweden’s dagens lunch, an affordable daily lunch special. Expect hearty dishes made from local ingredients in a classic Lund setting right by the main university area.
Broder Jakobs Stenugnsbageri

- Cuisine: Swedish
Perfect for a lighter lunch or a true Swedish fika. Known for its pastries and sandwiches - their cinnamon bun was voted the best in southern Sweden! Grab one to go or enjoy the cozy backyard courtyard. Pro tip: their ice cream shop, Syster Jakobs, is just a few doors down!

13:15–14:30 – Campus tour
We will leave from the University House (Paradisgatan 2, Lund) and explore our beautiful campus with a current student as your guide. Tours will be organised by faculty interest, with each one ending at the corresponding faculty location.
14:30–16:30 – Faculty presentations
Spend an hour with the faculty of your choice. Depending on the faculty, activities may include meeting programme staff, connecting with current students, attending a sample lecture, or visiting faculty facilities.
