LU Accommodation provides student services at Lund University and offers housing for international students. LU Accommodation manages a limited number of rooms and flats in Lund, Helsingborg and Malmö.\
\ LU Accommodation is mainly a service for international degree-seeking students with a housing guarantee as well as international exchange students. They are not able to offer accommodation to EU students unless they are coming on an exchange or have special agreements. The staff at LU Accommodation will do their best to help you, but as there is a great demand for housing in Lund, they are not able to guarantee housing for all international students.

Students with a housing guarantee
Some international students who are admitted to Lund University have a housing guarantee. The housing guarantee means that we will offer you housing at one of LU Accommodation's housing options. In general, the following student groups have a housing guarantee:
- Non-EU/EEA students (required to pay tuition fees to Lund University) admitted to full-time studies of at least 30 ECTS (does generally not apply to exchange students from partner universities)
- Students coming to Lund on a Linnaeus-Palme scholarship
- Students from the University of California coming to Lund on the bilateral exchange agreement
About housing guarantee on LU Accommodation's website
When you apply with LU Accommodation, you will be able to state your housing preferences. Some room types and housing areas are more requested than others. Therefore, there is no guarantee that you will be offered the specific housing option of your choice. Note that if you want to receive a housing offer from LU Accommodation, you must apply for housing, even if you have a housing guarantee.

Students without a housing guarantee
If you are not included in the student groups listed under the section 'Students with a housing guarantee', LU Accommodation cannot guarantee you housing.
However, all exchange students, as well as those coming to Lund through specific inter-university agreements (including Double Degree and Joint Programmes), are welcome to apply for housing via LU Accommodation. Although, please remember that housing is not guaranteed. We therefore recommend that you apply through other agencies as well to increase your chances of securing accommodation.
If you do not have a housing guarantee or are not coming to Lund through a specific agreement, such as those mentioned above, LU Accommodation will unfortunately not be able to assist you. Please be referred to other accomodation agencies and start looking as early as possible.

Doctoral students and international guests
Doctoral students and international guest staff may be eligible for housing through LU Accommodation. Please contact your department for help and advice regarding housing. University Guest House offers short-term accommodation for all guests, visitors and employees at Lund University.
