During Arrival Day, international mentors and university staff will welcome you and help you settle into your new life in Lund and Sweden. On this page, you will find important information regarding the Arrival Day, such as operating hours, services and what to expect of the day.
One of the many services we offer on Arrival Day is to be met at Lund Central Station by our mentors.
We cannot wait to meet you!
Attending Arrival Day is not mandatory, but we strongly recommend that you do so in order to take part in the many services that are only available on this day.
Arrival Day – dates and operating hours
- Arrival Day Autumn semester 2026 – 18 August at AF-Borgen, Sandgatan 2, 223 50 Lund
Arrival Day operating hours – autumn semester
- Lund University staff and mentors at Copenhagen Airport, between 7.30 AM–6.30 PM.
- Lund University staff and mentors at Lund Central station, between 8.30 AM–7.30 PM.
- Lund University staff and mentors at the Arrival Day venue, between 9.00 AM–8.00 PM
Arrival Day services during operating hours include:
- Being met at Copenhagen Airport.
- Being met at Lund Central Station.
- Shuttle service to the arrival venue from Lund Central Station.
You will easily recognise the mentors as they will be wearing either yellow reflective vests or light blue t-shirts with the Lund University logo. Please note that our staff will be present at Copenhagen Airport and Lund Central Station on Arrival Day only, so they won't be there to help if you arrive on another date.

Accommodation support
LU Accomodation and AF Bostäder – key pick-up
If you received confirmed housing from LU Accommodation (LUAcc) or AF Bostäder you will be able to pick up your keys on Arrival Day.
If you need to pick up keys from AF Bostäder, please get in contact with them for further information.

BoPoolen will be available to assist students who have not found accommodation.

Bedding packages for sale
Student accommodations do not provide a pillow, blanket, bed linen, or towels. Limited bedding items will be available for sale at Arrival Day.
Are you looking for a more sustainable option? There will be an event with the International Desk where we visit the biggest thrift store in Lund. Here you can buy bedding and all other essential items for your new home.

Shuttle service
Shuttle to your housing with LU Accommodation and AF Bostäder
Between 8.30 AM–7.30 PM, buses will run from Lund central station to the Arrival Day venue. After you have visited the services you need at the Arrival Day venue, you will be given a lift by a minivan to your new accommodation in Lund. The service runs primarily to the accommodation areas provided by LU Accommodation and AF Bostäder in Lund, Malmö and Helsingborg. Please note that the shuttle service is only available on Arrival Day.

Arriving before or after the Arrival Day
Students arriving before Arrival Day can contact LU Accommodation and AF Bostäder (if you are staying with them) to check the possibility of collecting the keys before Arrival Day.
If you arrive in Lund later than 19:30 on Arrival Day, you will not be able to reach us before we close and will therefore need to organise alternative accommodation for the night. Make all these arrangements in advance, before departing for Lund. The arrival day venue is only used during Arrival Day. If you arrive on a later date, the International Desk will be at another address.
