## About Bridge Coffee Roasters
Bridge Coffee Roasters began its journey in 1985 in Bristol, driven by a passion for quality coffee and exceptional customer service. Since its inception, the company has focused on delivering exceptional coffee while ensuring its operations are guided by transparency and respect for both people and the environment.
Now a midstream coffee roaster spanning three generations, Bridge Coffee Roasters takes pride in its industry-leading coffee collections and its unwavering commitment to sustainability. The company emphasizes producing the finest coffees and maintaining a transparent and ethical supply chain from farm to consumer. By focusing on sustainable practices, they aim to minimise their environmental impact and contribute positively to the communities and ecosystems involved in coffee production.
## Their Coffee Ethos
### Fairtrade
Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world and enables them to improve their positions and have more control over their lives.
### Rainforest Alliance
From fighting deforestation and climate change to building economic opportunities and better working conditions for rural people, the Rainforest Alliance is working to solve urgent environmental and social challenges.
### Organic
Organic coffee means farmers don't use unnecessary chemicals and pesticides - good news for plant and animal life. It's also good news for farmers, organic certification means they command higher prices, on top of the Fairtrade premium.
