Innovate ICURe

A pre-accelerator programme for researchers designed to help explore the commercial application and potential of UK research.

What is it?

Within the ICURe programme, there is a range of funding and commercialisation training with industry experts. The University of Warwick is the delivery partner for two key programmes; ICURe Engage and ICURe Explore.

ICURe Engage - Stage 1

A 4-week, part-time programme for research students and technicians. This aims to identify potential beneficiaries of research, introduce tools for commercialisation, and foster consideration of entrepreneurship as a pathway for achieving societal impact and a viable career choice.

ICURe Explore - stage 3

A 12 week full-time programme with up to £35,000 funding available to help research teams get out of the lab and explore the commercial potential of their research or technology. Applicants will receive expert training and support to test key market assumptions.

ICURe Discover - stage 2

A 10-week, part-time, online programme. It is a market exploration programme for researchers and technicians, with up to £2,500 support for market discovery activities. It is a pre-requisite to attend ICURe Discover if you wish to apply for ICURe Explore or Exploit.

ICURe exploit - stage 4

A 12 week programme provides after support for ICURe Explore teams recommended for spin-out with ICURe support or licensing. Provides intensive company formation and business growth support that accelerates their development to be investor ready.
