Diagnostic Test Reimbursement

Home students who have attended an appointment with one of the University's Disability Advisers and have then upon their recommendation undertaken (and paid for) a full diagnostic test may be eligible for reimbursement of their test. For more information on how to get an appointment with a Disability Adviser please see the Disability Team's Neurodivergence Advice Discussionwebpage.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Diagnostic Test Reimbursement you must meet the following criteria:

Applications for Diagnostic Test Reimbursement cannot be considered from students who have completed, permanently withdrawn or abandoned their course. Further to this, certain enrolment and course exclusions apply, such as students who are awaiting exam board or students who are undertaking a degree apprenticeship. If you would like clarification on whether your particular enrolment status or course excludes you from applying, please contact Student Funding Support at studentfunding@warwick.ac.uk

How to apply

There are two routes to applying depending on your circumstances. Some students can apply directly for the reimbursement whereas others must complete a full application to the Warwick Hardship Fund.

Direct application for Diagnostic Test Reimbursement

or

or

Direct Application for Diagnostic Test Reimbursement

If you receive a Warwick Bursary or are a part-time student and receive a means-tested Government benefit you should complete an Application for Diagnostic Test Reimbursement within 3 months of your diagnostic test.

Once we have received all your evidence and we can confirm with the Disability Team that you have attended an appointment with one of their advisers prior to your full diagnostic test, you will be notified of the outcome of your application within 10 working days.

If your application has been successful the award will be paid within a further 10 working days of you following the instructions in your outcome email and submitting your bank details.

Please note that the maximum award you would be eligible for through the direct application route is £375. If your test costs more than this and you want to apply for more you will need to make a full application to the Warwick Hardship Fund.
