In July 2024, following the 2024 Academic Governance Review, the University Senate and Council approved that the Partnerships Committee be disestablished, with its business being redirected to the new Educational Partnerships Oversight Panel, among others. This page remains live to provide an archive.

Terms of Reference
(a) To advise the Academic Quality and Standards Committee on University policy for University academic partnerships with one or more providers, leading to the award of a University qualification.
(b) To operate a risk-based process of scrutiny of the rationale for; and strength of; the partnership arrangements falling within its remit.
(c) To consider regular updates and reports on the management of international exchange agreements, with a focus on quality and standards, from the Internationalisation Steering Committee and to approve, where appropriate, new international exchange partnerships.
(d) Through its sub-group for Degree Apprenticeships (Apprenticeship Approval and Review Group), to consider and recommend for approval to the Course Proposal Scrutiny Panel proposals for Degree Apprenticeships, and to review provision.
(e) To consider and recommend for approval to the Course Proposal Scrutiny Panel proposals for flexible and online programmes and to review provision.
(f) To establish and monitor appropriate mechanisms for the continued quality assurance and risk management of University academic partnerships.
(g) To promote best practice in the operation and quality management of academic partnerships across University departments.
(h) To consider the reports of External Examiners for partnership provision and to follow through any issues of concern in connection with these or the other courses within its remit.
Reporting Structure
The Partnerships Committee reports to the Academic Quality and Standards Committee.
