# About

Welcome to the School of Mathematics, Trinity College Dublin. The School Mathematics is in the [Faculty of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics](https://tcd.ie/stem/).

The School of Mathematics can be found in a combined building of Houses 17 - 20 in the Hamilton Building, at the southern end of the Trinity Campus. The closest pedestrian and vehicular entrace is via Lincoln Gate, with Pearse Street pedestrian entrance also located close to the Hamilton Building. Access to the School can be gained on the ground floor through House 17 and 20 and on the first floor through House 17, 19, and 20.

The entrance to the Hamilton Building:

TCD is well served by public transport. In particular, there are [airport coaches (Aircoach route 700)](https://www.aircoach.ie/) that serve the West End
of College and the [Airlink
route 757](http://www.dublinbus.ie/Your-Journey1/Timetables/Airport-Services/) busses that serve the East end
(use the Westland Row stop).

The city centre is also served by many [bus routes](https://www.dublinbus.ie/), [Luas (tram)](https://www.luas.ie/) and rail ([suburban DART](http://www.irishrail.ie/about-us/dart-commuter) and [Intercity services](http://www.irishrail.ie/about-us/intercity)).
