We are a group focused on developing advanced processing and imaging techniques for a wide range of layered nanomaterials. Liquid phase exfoliation can be used to produce dispersions of two-dimensional flakes from bulk powders.

We can then characterise flakes using a range of techniques, including helium ion microscopy, scanning and conventional high resolution transmission electron microscopy and aberration-corrected transmission electron microscopes. The materials are under investigation as part of research focused on the development of novel energy storage and microelectronics devices.

We focus on these three main areas of research below:

- Processing of 2-dimensional Nanomaterials
- 2D Nanomaterials for Energy Storage & Semiconduction Industry
- High-end Characterisation of 2D Nanomaterials
