Laboratory Demonstration
It is compulsory for all postgraduate students to take part in laboratory demonstration. The demonstrator module is also compulsory for all postgraduate by research students in the School and must be completed by the end of your 2nd year.
A rate of €21.02 per hour is paid for demonstrating for all hours covered in the labs Marking is paid on a per student basis at the following rates:
- 10 minutes per JF student
- 20 minutes per SF student
- 30 minutes per JS student
Students should complete and submit an Occasional Staff Engagement Setup Form at the beginning of the academic year and submit to the school office by email to postgradschemistry@tcd.ie. Payment is made as payment to your bank account. A claim form and demonstrating log should be submitted to postgradschemistry@tcd.ie on or before the 19th of each month detailing the excess hours being claimed.
