19 September, 2025 (09:00)

The Library launched two new search and discovery platforms to replace Stella Search at the beginning of September. They are the Library Catalogue for Library holdings; and Articles and More for subscribed e-resources and database content. Some technical issues have arisen with the ‘Library Catalogue’ therefore Stella Search has been temporarily reinstated as the primary catalogue for Library holdings.

17 September, 2025 (09:00)

Please note that there is temporary issue in Stella Search with placing Click & Collect requests for materials on the open shelves in reading rooms. This issue is not impacting on Click & Collect requests within Stella Search for materials in storage and is also not impacting requesting in the New Library Catalogue.

16 September, 2025 (19:00)

The performance issues mentioned in the previous update have been resolved. Please let us know if you encounter any difficulties searching within the new catalogue or placing Click and Collect requests.

16 September, 2025 (16:00)

Due to ongoing performance issues in the New Library Catalogue (i.e. intermittent inability to search, place requests, login to your Library Account), we are temporarily recommending that readers revert to using Stella Search. Apologies for the inconvenience. UPDATE: see above.
