For an overview of Generative AI – what it is, how it works, its limitations and risks, please see Trinity’s Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) Hub.
Please note, the use of Generative AI is permitted unless otherwise stated in course handbooks. However, you must (at a minimum) acknowledge its use, using the guidance given in this LibGuide.
This guidance presents the Library of Trinity College Dublin's general approach to acknowledging the use of generative AI and referencing generative AI. GenAI is evolving rapidly and there is not yet general consensus on how to acknowledge and reference it. This guidance will therefore continue to be reviewed and updated.
