# Research Facilities

The School of Chemistry has a suite of high-spec instruments to assist researchers in the School
in the characterization of novel materials in synthetic chemistry, including nano- and biophysical materials.

The School caters for

- [NMR](https://chemistry.tcd.ie/research/facilities/nmr/index.php) and other spectroscopic techniques e.g. CD, FTIR, Fluorimetry, UV-VIS
- [Mass Spectrometry](https://chemistry.tcd.ie/research/facilities/mass_spectrometry.php) (ToF and ESI)
- [X-ray crystallography (single crystal and powder), DLS, TGA and DSC](https://chemistry.tcd.ie/research/facilities/crystallography.php)

Before using any School of Chemistry equipment, you must arrange training by contacting the relevant Experimental/Technical Officer

Non-School of Chemistry researchers must contact the [Head of School](mailto:headchem@tcd.ie) about access to instrumentation.
