**Demetra:** Leeds played a really big part in helping me get my undergraduate placement year,and they supported me through the process not only in securing the placement but also whilst I was on placement.

**Demetra:** At IBM, I was specialising in digital strategy consulting.

**Demetra:** We were helping companies to grow through the strategic use of technology.

**Demetra:**Sometimes I’d go to client sites, so I was working at Wimbledon for two weeks over the championships, talking to potential IBM clients and members of the public.

**Demetra:** This was really important for me as a step in my career of having this responsibility.

**Demetra:** I have been offered a place in the IBM Graduate Programme. It means that I can focus on my studies this year and look forward to joining a job I really enjoy pursuing.

**Demetra:** Being able to use the skills that I’ve learned at university at a global organisation has been really rewarding.

**Demetra:** It’s helped me to grow professionally and personally, and it’s also set me up for the rest of my career.
