Whether you want to learn about enterprise or become an entrepreneur, we have a number of opportunities to help you get a head start.

You can study enterprise alongside a number of subjects as part of an [undergraduate degree](https://courses.leeds.ac.uk/), giving you a firm understanding of business and entrepreneurship.

You may be able to take [enterprise-related discovery modules](https://students.leeds.ac.uk/modules/doc/explore-discovery-modules/page/3) as part of your course. They’ll help you develop transferable skills such as commercial awareness, creative problem-solving, teamworking, leadership and communication – skills that top employers look for in graduates.

## Start your own business

If you have an idea for starting your own business, [Spark, our business start-up service](https://students.leeds.ac.uk/spark), can help you develop your idea into a viable business.

Get access to:

- start-up advice and support through your entrepreneurial journey
- bespoke workshops
- experienced business mentors
- professional networking events
- office space

If you’re a budding entrepreneur, you could apply for an [Enterprise scholarship](https://students.leeds.ac.uk/spark/doc/enterprise-scholarships) to help with business, training and transport costs. Our annual Business plan competition also gives you the chance to win up to £2,000 to help you get started.

You could also join the [Entrepreneurs Society](https://www.luu.org.uk/clubs-and-societies/browse-clubs-and-societies/entrepreneurs/) to develop your skills and get practical experience.
