We have a wide range of artwork and a number of galleries on campus.

Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery

We have one of the finest collections of rare books and manuscripts in the world in our Special Collections, housed in the Brotherton Library. Some of these are on display as part of The Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery, part of the Leeds University Library Galleries, situated beneath the Parkinson tower. The gallery features permanent and temporary displays along with workshops and talks to bring the archives to life.

The Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery, part of the Leeds University Library Galleries, features innovative contemporary exhibitions and displays treasures from the University’s art collection and the library's Special Collections. It also offers a changing programme of exhibitions, as well as a space for private study, research and teaching.

Friends of University Art and Music (Leeds)

The Friends of University Art and Music (Leeds) raise funds to buy further works for our art collection, which now runs to more than 3,000 items. The organisation supports the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery and the International Concert Series, and hosts a regular programme of events.

M&S Company Archive

The M&S Company Archive has more than 70,000 items dating back from the earliest days of the business to the present day. Along with the collection, the Michael Marks Building hosts the Marks in Time exhibition which celebrates the role M&S has played in British cultural history since it first opened a stall at Leeds Kirkgate Market in 1884.
