Find out about the application deadlines for our pre-sessional courses.

We offer pre-sessional courses starting in September/October or January during the academic year, as well as courses over the summer (June to September).

## Summer 2026 pre-sessional course deadlines

### 10-week online course starting in May 2026 (for undergraduate, Masters, and postgraduate research applicants)

- Apply for your pre-sessional English course and provide your English language evidence by: 26 April 2026
- Deadline to accept your pre-sessional English course offer: 4 May 2026
- Course start date: 27 May 2026
- Course end date: 2 August 2026

### 6-week online course starting in June 2026 (for undergraduate, Masters, and postgraduate research applicants)

- Apply for your pre-sessional English course and provide your English language evidence by: 5pm, 22 May 2026 (UK time)
- Deadline to accept your pre-sessional English course offer: 31 May 2026
- Course start date: 22 June 2026
- Course end date: 2 August 2026

### 10-week on-campus courses starting in July 2026 (for Masters applicants)

- Apply for your pre-sessional English course and provide your English language evidence by: 31 May 2026
- Deadline to meet your academic condition and request a combined Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS), or request a standalone CAS with a Secure English Language Test (SELT): 31 May 2026
- Deadline to accept your pre-sessional English and Masters course offers; and pay your tuition fee deposit or upload exemption evidence to the portal to get a CAS for your Student Visa: 7 June 2026
- Course start date: 30 June 2026
- Course end date: 6 September 2026

### 6-week on-campus courses starting in July 2026 (for Masters applicants)

- Apply for your pre-sessional English course and provide your English language evidence by: 28 June 2026
- Deadline to request a standalone CAS with a Secure English Language Test (SELT): 28 June 2026
- Deadline to meet your academic condition to receive a combined CAS: 5 July 2026
- Deadline to accept your pre-sessional English and Masters course offers; and pay your tuition fee deposit or upload exemption evidence to the portal to get a CAS for your Student Visa: 6 July 2026
- Course start date: 27 July 2026
- Course end date: 6 September 2026

### 10-week on-campus courses starting in July 2026 (for undergraduate or postgraduate research applicants)

- Apply for your pre-sessional English course and provide your English language evidence by: 31 May 2026
- Deadline to accept your pre-sessional English offer: 7 June 2026
- Course start date: 30 June 2026
- Course end date: 6 September 2026

### 6-week on-campus courses starting in July 2025 (for undergraduate or postgraduate research applicants)

- Apply for your pre-sessional English course and provide your English language evidence by: 28 June 2026
- Deadline to accept your pre-sessional English offer:  6 July 2026
- Course start date: 27 July 2026
- Course end date: 6 September 2026

- Apply for your pre-sessional English course and provide your English language evidence: 26 August 2026
- Deadline to accept your pre-sessional English offer: 1 September 2026
- Course start date: 28 September 2026

### Courses starting in January 2027 (for undergraduate, Masters, and postgraduate research applicants)

- Apply for your pre-sessional English course and provide your English language evidence: 16 December 2026
- Deadline to accept your pre-sessional English offer:  20 December 2026
- Course start date: 25 January 2027
