About the Knowledge Transfer Office
The Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) of TU/e plays a pivotal role in advancing innovation within the university. It acts as the primary point for technology transfer, manages the university's intellectual property, and supports business development and incubation. Our business developers are ready to help with questions about your entrepreneurial ideas. Each year, KTO assists around 200 startups, while the portfolio of TU/e Participations, the university’s holding company, includes roughly 70 spin-offs.
TU/e KTO participates as the university’s partner in The Gate, reinforcing TU/e’s connection with the Brainport region and helping bridge research with entrepreneurial support. In collaboration with The Gate, KTO also organizes and supports a number of programs to help TU/e researchers and students develop their entrepreneurial ideas.
