The Academy for Learning and Teaching (ALT) is a network of educational innovation staff aiming for the continuous development of TU/e education by means of learning communities, professional development, valorization of research, and a comprehensive one-stop portal bringing all of these together.

To reach this aim, ALT is built upon the following three pillars:

- **Learning communities**. These are bottom-up initiatives where teachers from different departments come together for peer interaction, sharing of experiences, learning from each other, and discussion of dilemmas from educational practice.
- **Support of further professional development of teachers**
- **Support of research in education**
