The master’s program in Applied Physics prepares you for a diverse and flexible career path, offering broad opportunities in the job market. There is a continuous demand from both industry and research institutions for experts who can work at the interface of physics, chemistry, and biology. Graduates often find positions in the R&D departments of companies such as Philips, ASML, DSM, and Canon or at research institutes like TNO. Alternatively, you might pursue a role that draws on your organizational and leadership skills. Nearly half of our graduates choose to advance their academic careers through a 4- or 5-year PhD track, actively contributing to groundbreaking innovations within their scientific research.

Take Your Expertise Further: PhD or EngD

Ready to dive deeper into innovation and discovery? Whether you're driven by curiosity or eager to solve real-world challenges, a PhD or EngD at TU/e offers the opportunity to push the boundaries of applied physics. You will join cutting-edge research teams, collaborate with industry leaders and shape the future of technology while advancing your career to the next level.
