As an engineer of mathematics, you will have a broad background and you will be able to work together with specialists from other fields. There are a wide range of opportunities for you in the employment market.

Examples of roles using applied mathematics

Applied mathematicians work in a wide variety of sectors

It is not only large multinationals that employ applied mathematicians; they are also employed by small and medium-sized businesses. You need to assume that you will not be carrying out the same type of work over your entire career. When you have just graduated, you will usually find employment in research, development or consultancy. After some time, these roles often shift to (project) management.

Continuing study after your Bachelor degree you can also continue studying after completing a Master program.
