Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the world, and at its core lies the intricate relationship between AI and Engineering Systems (ES). The Master's in Artificial Intelligence & Engineering Systems (AI&ES) at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) bridges these two critical domains, equipping students with cutting-edge AI techniques and robust engineering expertise to innovate and lead in the evolving technological landscape.\ \ AI&ES is a next-generation master's program designed for students passionate about leveraging AI to revolutionize engineering systems. This program provides a comprehensive understanding of machine learning, data-driven decision-making, human-AI interaction, and engineering principles, enabling graduates to design real-world AI applications in diverse fields.\ \ Located in Brainport Eindhoven (Europe’s “Silicon Valley”), TU/e is at the heart of the Netherlands’ tech sector. TU/e’s strong ties with industry and research institutions make this master’s program a prime choice for students aiming to bridge the gap between AI advancements and engineering applications. The region is a global leader in semiconductors, with companies such as ASML and NXP Semiconductors leading innovation. This growth is supported by a €2.5 billion national initiative National Reinforcement Plan for Microchip Talent, the ‘Beethoven’ talent plan, to strengthen the Dutch technology industry.\ \ Four departments of TU/e have a crucial role in making this happen, and AI&ES contributes by preparing you for the collaboration between state-of-the-art research in the semiconductor industry and AI. For example, courses such as Neuromorphic Computing or Intelligent Architectures, as well as specialization courses or free electives on topics such as Spiking Neural Networks or Brain-inspired semiconductors, are part of thecurriculum.
