The Physics of Nanomaterials and Semiconductor Devices track takes a physics-first approach to understanding and engineering advanced materials for next-generation technologies. Positioned at the heart of the semiconductor industry in Brainport Eindhoven, this track connects you directly with global leaders who are shaping the future of chip technology.\ \ You will explore the development, fabrication, and characterization of functional nanomaterials and their use in semiconductor devices. Topics include spin systems, semiconductors, 2D materials and organic or molecular materials, with applications in energy conversion, communication, data storage, sensing, and novel computing paradigms. The track offers a strong foundation in experimental methods such as nanomaterial synthesis and advanced characterization, as well as in computational modeling and theory development.\ \ You become part of a research environment focused on both fundamental science and application-driven innovation. This prepares you to develop creative solutions for technological challenges in industry and academia.
