Tuition fees and other study costs

Studying involves different kinds of university expenses. There are for example the costs of tuition fees, books and other study materials, a laptop and the costs of renting a room. On the other hand you might be eligible for student grants. Below you can read more about the different costs that might arise.

Amounts of different fees

Students with a foreign education pay an application fee of € 100 for each application.

Students with a Non EEA nationality who have been admitted to a TU/e Bachelor's or Master's program based on a non-Dutch previous education, pay a guarantee fee in advance to confirm that they will enroll at the TU/e.

Living expenses\ Per year a TU/e student needs a budget of at least €10,000-€12,000 for rent, insurance, living expenses, books and local transportation. This is a minimum budget and is in addition to the tuition fee and any expenses incurred travelling from your home country to Eindhoven.\ Rent can vary between€400 for a room and €700 for a studio.
