Master Operations Management and Logistics

Degree structure

This full-time Operations Management and Logistics Master's degree course is taught in English. The program lasts two years, with each year consisting of 60 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation Systems (ECTS). They are divided as follows:

The program provides ample opportunity to select courses closely related to the focus of one of the tracks, courses aimed at broadening general knowledge, as well as courses with a more methodological focus. For example, all students have the opportunity to deepen their methodological knowledge on artificial intelligence/data science by selecting a package of AI courses, next to the obligatory course on artificial intelligence. Visit the education guide for more information about the program.

More about the tracks can be found here:

  1. Smart Services (previously Services)
  2. Supply Chain Management (previously Supply Chains)
  3. Smart Industry (previously Manufacturing and Maintenance)
  4. Analytics for Transport and Mobility (previously Transport and Mobility)

Master's thesis

The concluding Master thesis project is a research and design assignment where you apply the theories and skills you have acquired in the program. During the third semester, you will start working on the preparations for your project. In the final semester, you will focus totally on the internship.

Most projects are conducted in full or in part on-site at our industrial partners, and approximately 90% of students choose to conduct their thesis work on-site at one or more companies. Projects include a wide variety of subjects and will require you to specialize further in one of the key disciplines that contribute to the program.

Internship abroad

In the second year, there is plenty of opportunity for students to make far-reaching personal choices. We highly recommend students to travel abroad and gather international experience. Students choose 25 ECTS of courses, usually free elective courses, and students can follow these courses at a foreign university. Alternatively, students can opt for an international research project worth 15 ECTS.
