Young, highly qualified technicians are in high demand. The job opportunities are great, and have been for years. Most of our graduates quickly find a challenging and well-paid job. Since mechanical engineering is a broad field, you see graduates end up in many different positions and different technical branches. For instance, you could become a technical designer, production engineer, project leader or work at an engineering firm and research institutions such as TNO. Other graduates find research at the department so interesting, that they decide to do a PhD research. Some even start their own businesses.
