More and more companies and organizations need engineers who can make connections between technology and its impact on people and society in a scientific manner. They are looking for engineers who are able to build bridges between various fields and between technology designers and users.

With a Psychology & Technology bachelor’s degree, you will have a broad foundation as a technical engineer. The work field ranges from research and design divisions within companies to consultancy firms. Our graduates find work at renowned research institutes, government agencies and consultancy firms in various sectors. Of course, you can also be self-employed. The possibilities are endless!

### **Master’s degrees**

Of course, you can pursue advanced studies before plunging into the job market, such as an engineering, social sciences or innovation management master’s degree.

### **What kinds of jobs are there?**

Depending on the master’s program that you choose after your bachelor’s, you can work in a broad professional field. You will find graduates in all kinds of positions and in almost all industries, both national and international. After graduation, you can, for example, work as a UX designer, project leader, consultant or quality manager. Or you could become a researcher at a company (such as Philips, Essent or DAF), institution (like TNO) or the government.

> *In my current position, I still benefit from what I learned during my studies. To understand and improve the interaction between a website and its visitors, we need to know many things about how consumers behave: how do people observe and how do they think? This multidisciplinary work approach, which I learned during my studies, is also a great advantage.*

> *I’ve been able to make great use of the research methods that I learned during my studies. Of course, I have to use my knowledge of technology but in my case, this definitely comes second to the manner in which I learned to set up and conduct research. In my opinion, completion of this degree program provides many employment opportunities.*

> *During my studies, I learned a lot about the roles of behavior, observations and psychology in the development and introduction of new technologies. That means that I can now advise healthcare providers and technicians on the right technical choices and how to make the best use of them.*
