### Mentoring

As a student, you can benefit from alumni mentoring to help you find out more about a particular career, network with a professional and develop your skills. As a graduate, you can become a mentor and share your experiences to help students get started in their career. All mentees are carefully matched to a professional in their field of interest, and the platform allows you to easily manage your relationship in our centralised hub.

### Volunteering opportunities

Whatever stage you're at in your career, volunteering is a fantastic way to give back to your university. This is your chance to inspire, guide and advise the next generation of Sheffield graduates.

### How can you get involved?

The next mentoring scheme will take place in Autumn 2025. If you are interested in taking part you can register your interest [as an alumni mentor](https://sheffield.ac.uk/careers/employers/get-involved/mentor "Mentor students") or [a student mentee](https://students.sheffield.ac.uk/careers/network/mentoring). We will then send you all of the information you need to join the Autumn 2025 scheme.
