Small Talk

Small Talk was established by Professor Judy Clegg, Helen Cameron and Dr Carla Rohde, speech and language therapists. The clinic is currently run by Judy, Carla, and Dr Sarah Spencer.

Small Talk sessions run weekly throughout the year, including some school holidays.

It is aimed at parents/carers of children up to five years old, with any speech, language or communication need. The clinic provides individual targeted work with an opportunity for carers to be involved in their child's therapy. We can also help to signpost to other sources of support if needed.

Members have usually heard of the group through word of mouth, and some children also access NHS speech and language therapy services. While in the group, children work with speech and language therapy students, supervised by qualified speech and language therapists within the department.

Sessions take place on Tuesday mornings, currently at 9:30am, 10:10am, 10:50, or 11:30am.
