Trans Voice Café

The Trans Voice Café is a partnership between the University of Sheffield and Porterbrook NHS Gender Identity Service in Sheffield. It has been established by Dr Caroline Haw with colleagues in the local NHS service.

We are working together to provide opportunities for people to work on their voice and communication whilst on the waiting list for NHS services.

The Trans Voice Café is a safe space for clients and provides a voluntary placement opportunity for SLT students.

This is a new development in our in-house clinic, and we are currently working with NHS staff, clients and students to develop the Trans Voice Café.

Sessions generally run on Friday afternoons.

For more information, please see our TVC Google site  or contact Caroline at c.haw@sheffield.ac.uk
