Biography

Ramazan Kizilyıldırım is a PhD candidate in Operations and Technology at the UCL School of Management. His research focuses on online crowdsourcing platforms, exploring how individuals make decisions in digital environments. He holds an MS (2018) in Industrial Engineering from Middle East Technical University and a BS (2016) in Industrial Engineering with a double major in Economics from TOBB University of Economics and Technology, Turkey.

Before joining UCL, he worked in the G20 and IMF Department of the Turkish Treasury (2014–2018), where he was a member of the G20 Digital Economy Task Force and the G20 Trade and Investment Working Group. He also worked in the International Capital Markets Department, where he contributed to the implementation of over $7 billion in Eurobond transactions.

As a behavioral operations management researcher, Ramazan studies how individuals make decisions in digital platforms. These platforms, central to today’s economy, transform industries by enabling access to global resources, facilitating new business models, and driving efficiency. Businesses such as crowdsourcing, e-commerce, and resource-sharing platforms rely on complex interactions between different stakeholders. His research uncovers the behavioral dynamics behind these stakeholders’ decision-making and their impact on platform operations.
