What is sexual misconduct

Sexual misconduct is any unwanted or attempted unwanted conduct of a sexual nature that is offensive or unacceptable, encompassing a range of conduct from sexual harassment, assault, and stalking.
Sexual misconduct is contrary to the Equality Act 2010 and UCL’s ethos, values and mission and is never acceptable. No member of the UCL community is expected to tolerate such behaviour.
*The terminology used by the Casework Team falls within the scope and framework of the University'sDisciplinary Code and Procedurein respect of students and is distinct from the legal terms that categorise sexual offences within the Criminal Justice System.
The Casework Team works in line with the definitions of sexual harassment and/or sexual misconduct as defined in UCL's Prevention of Bullying, Harassment and Sexual Misconduct Policy.
