Accessibility statement for Report and Support
\ Scope
This statement relates to the UCL Report + Support service which allows UCL staff and students to report bullying and harassment incidents. The service is accessed via https://report-support.ucl.ac.uk/
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this service. The service is run by UCL but provided by Culture Shift. This means that certain aspects of its design are not under UCL’s control.

\ Accessibility limitations
We know some parts of this service are not fully accessible including colour contrast levels, tabbing, link labelling, alt text labelling, layout tables and other screen-reader issues. \ \
1 Colour contrast levels
There is a low contrast between text and background colours in a number of places including in submission forms. Text is present that has a contrast ratio less than 4.5:1, or large text (larger than 18 point or 14 point bold) has a contrast ratio less than 3:1. Adequate contrast of text is necessary for all users, especially users with low vision. \ \
2 Tabbing
Tabbing is problematic in some places, including submission forms, and this causes issues for blind users of screen readers as well those with mobility impairments who rely on keyboard shortcuts to navigate around the program.
Buttons are ‘form fields’ instead of links and are unlabelled causing navigation issues. \ \
3 Link labelling
Some identified link issues that would cause issues for screen-reader users and difficulty in navigation for blind users have been resolved. If you spot any more that might have been missed, please reach to us at reportandsupport@ucl.ac.uk \ \
4 Alt text labels
Some identified alt text label issues have been rectified on pages containing untitled images. Missing alt text labels lead blind users to not being able to find their way around the pages. If you spot any more that might have been missed, please reach to us at reportandsupport@ucl.ac.uk \ \
5 Layout tables
Some tables identified exist merely to position content neatly for sighted user. These can introduce reading and navigation order issues. Screen readers may interpret them as data tables (i.e., announcing column and row numbers), especially if they contain table header (
6 Screen reader issue
Issues with screen readers may cause a blind user to not be able to access all the data on a page. Some of the identified issues in smooth screen-reading within or while moving between pages have been resolved. Where the pages link to outside Report and Support content (like webpages/ forms), we are working with other teams to rectify those. \ \
