## Undergraduate Entry Requirements
The minimum entry requirements for undergraduate programmes at UCL can be found below. However, specific entry requirements for some programmes may differ and may also be higher. You should refer to the [undergraduate prospectus](https://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/undergraduate) which allows you to choose the relevant programme and then select your country from the list in the International Qualifications sections.
### Minimum equivalent entry requirements for A level grades ABB
Successful completion of two years of the Licenciatura/Professional Degree at a Chilean university recognised by UCL, with an average of 5.5/7, will also be considered.
## Graduate Entry Requirements
Entry to graduate programmes at UCL usually requires either an upper second-class (2:1) or a lower second-class (2:2) undergraduate degree. Please note entry to some doctoral programmes (e.g. MPhil/PhD) will also require a Master's degree. The entry requirements for individual programmes can be found on the [graduate prospectus](https://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/graduate/). The equivalent qualifications from Chile can be found below.
### Minimum entry requirements (2024/25 entry)
#### Upper second-class (2:1)
The award of any of the following from a recognised institution:
- Licenciado or Professional Title with an overall mark of 5.5/7
#### Lower second-class (2:2)
The award of any of the following from a recognised institution:
- Licenciado or Professional Title with an overall mark of 5.0/7
#### Other acceptable qualifications
- Medical / Dental degree; Master's; PhD

## Tuition Fees
UCL has a long-standing partnership with the ANID the Chilean National Research and Development Agency providing the BECAS Chile Scholarship for students from Chile to follow postgraduate studies at universities around the world. We have welcomed a significant number of ANID/BECAS scholars undertaking Master’s and PhD programmes at UCL over the years and we look forward to continuing to do so. UCL offers a contribution worth 25% of the tuition fee to scholars whose tuition fees are paid by ANID. Further details are available on the [ANID](https://www.conicyt.cl/becasconicyt/) website.

**Professor Mariana Mazzucato meets President Boric in Santiago, Chile**
UCL IIPP (Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose) Director Mariana Mazzucato met Chile’s President Gabriel Boric, Finance Minister Mario Marcel, and Economic Minister Nicolas Grau during her trip to Santiago in October 2022, as well as presenting her new ECLAC (Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean) report to other government ministers.

## Student Life
We have an active [Students’ Union](https://studentsunionucl.org/), which offers over 300 clubs and societies. This includes an active Chilean Society and the UCL Spanish and Latin American Society.
The **Chilean Society** is a lively and welcoming community for all students interested in Chilean culture. They host and organise social events including movie screenings, hiking in nature, music arts and crafts workshops and much more!
Also, the **Spanish and Latin American Society** was established over a decade ago. It was built on the premise of being a welcoming place for Spanish-speaking students and anyone interested in immersing themselves in Latin traditions and Spanish language across the globe. Currently, this is a vibrant community hosting conferences, social activities, and sports tournaments.
