You don't stop when you leave UTS and the MBA you just start. UTS does offer a lot of things which are beyond just the coursework. I participated in a lot of networking events which keeps happening all the time within the campus.

UTS is quite special. It's a public university that design their subjects for the public good. When you take that approach it's very different. You have always collaboration at heart. You have people coming from all over the world. You have to understand their way of thinking and in the work setting it’s so important to have that mindset.

  The MBA provides knowledge and skills essential for superior management performance encompassing a socially committed perspective. The UTS MBA offers extensive flexibility for students to build a broad foundation of general business skills before expanding their skill sets with their preferred specialisation(s). The course features a core of six subjects that introduces students to key managerial and business concepts. These core subjects are offered only to our MBA students, allowing an immersive experience with students from diverse industry, cultural and educational backgrounds. Beyond the core subject, students choose from a wide choice of majors, sub-majors and/or electives from faculties throughout UTS, including design, IT, engineering and law. These choices can be selected and/or changed after commencing the course, providing on-demand flexibility.

- ### Course duration

  The MBA is normally completed in two years of full-time or four years of part-time study. Completion time may be accelerated by undertaking subjects in intensive mode during Summer session. Classes for core subjects are held during the day as well as in the evening.
- ### Admission requirements

  To be eligible for admission to this course, applicants must meet the following criteria.

  Applicants must have one of the following:

  - Completed Australian graduate certificate or higher qualification, or overseas equivalent, with more than 75% of all subjects completed at pass level (conceded pass not included)

  OR

  - Completed Australian bachelor's degree, or overseas equivalent, with a minimum GPA of 5.25/7 with more than 90% of all subjects completed at pass level (conceded pass not included)

  OR

  - Completed Australian bachelor's degree, or overseas equivalent, with more than 75% of all subjects completed at pass level (conceded pass not included) and one of the following:
    - A minimum of 4 years full-time or equivalent part-time, relevant post-secondary professional work experience
    - Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) overall minimum score of 550. If completed pre-Feb 2024, GMAT Exam (includes AWA) with an overall minimum score of 550 with verbal 25, quantitative 35 and AWA 4.0.

  **Supporting documentation to be submitted with the application**

  For applicants who need to demonstrate professional work experience:

  - **Curriculum Vitae** (outlining competencies, achievements, and professional development) AND **Statement of service** in one of the following formats:
    - A 'Statement of Service' provided by the employer
    - A completed '**[UTS statement of service](https://www.uts.edu.au/statement-service-form)**' signed by the employer
    - A **[statutory](https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/nsw-statutory-declaration-forms)[declaration](https://my.gov.au/en/about/help/digital-identity/digital-commonwealth-statutory-declaration)**confirming professional work experience (for Australian Residents only)
    - An official letter from the applicant's accountant or solicitor on their company letterhead confirming the applicant's professional work experience or engagement with the business, duration of operations, and the nature of the business
    - A business certificate of registration in original language and English (e.g. provision of ASIC documentation or ABN or similar documentation for Australian Businesses)

  Eligibility for admission does not guarantee offer of a place.

  IELTS Academic: overall 6.5, writing 6.0
  TOEFL iBT (0-120): overall 79, writing 21
  TOEFL iBT (1-6): overall 4, writing 4.5
  UTS College AE5: Pass
  Pearson PTE: overall 58, writing 50
  Cambridge C1A / C2P: overall 176, writing 169
- ### Domestic course fees

  **2026 Indicative tuition fees for domestic students**

  As a postgraduate student, you'll be responsible for covering your own tuition fees.

  **2026 Tuition Fee**

  - **Indicative first-year tuition fee:** $38,100.00
  - **Indicative total tuition fee:**  $77,914.00

  You can choose to pay your fees upfront per session, or if you’re eligible, you can defer them using a government FEE-HELP loan. This loan helps you cover all or part of your tuition fees. Keep in mind that applications for this loan are specific to each course.

  **Additional Costs**

  Your tuition fees do not include:

  - The Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF), which supports student services and activities. If eligible, you can defer this fee using SA-HELP.
  - Textbooks, materials, and other course-related costs.
  - Any applicable payment processing fees (e.g., credit card surcharges).

  **Important Information**

  - Fees are shown in Australian Dollars (AUD).
  - The indicative tuition fees above are based on full-time study (1 year = 48 credit points).
  - Your actual fees depend on the year you enrol, your study load and the subjects you choose. Some subjects fall into different student contribution bands.
  - You can calculate your student contribution based on the amounts listed in the student contribution table

  **Alumni Advantage Program**

  As a UTS graduate, you can enjoy a 10% discount on your course fees.   **Information for Masters by Research students:** **Government-funded scholarship places available**

  As a recipient of the Australian Government’s Research Training Program (RTP) Fees Offset Scholarship, you do not have to pay tuition fees for up to the maximum period of candidature. However, even with this scholarship, you should expect ongoing costs that aren’t covered, like travel, training, and professional development. These costs can vary for each person, so it’s important to plan accordingly. Additionally, scholarships are available to help with your living expenses.

  **Important details:** The RTP Fees Offset Scholarship covers your tuition fees, but please note that it doesn’t include additional costs related to studying or conducting research.   Inherent requirements are academic and non-academic requirements that are essential for successfully completing a course at UTS. - ### Professional recognition

  The Master of Business Administration with a specialisation in Professional Accounting ([MAJ08988 and](https://handbook.uts.edu.au/aos/current/maj08988)[SMJ10161](https://handbook.uts.edu.au/aos/current/smj10161)) meets educational membership requirements for entry into the [CPA Australia](https://www.cpaaustralia.com.au/) (CPAA), the [Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand](https://www.charteredaccountantsanz.com/) (CAANZ) and the [Institute of Public Accountants](https://www.publicaccountants.org.au/) (IPA).

  The Master of Business Administration with a major in Finance meets the education requirements for Affiliate membership and, in conjunction with work experience, the requirements for Associate membership with the Financial Services Institute of Australasia ([FINSIA](https://www.finsia.com/)).

  The Master of Business Administration with a major in Project Management is accredited by the PMI Global Accreditation Centre for Project Management Education Programs ([GAC](https://www.pmi.org/global-accreditation-center/directory)).
- ### Recognition of prior learning

  Students may be granted a maximum of eight subjects exemption, of which four core subjects may be approved from prior undergraduate study. - ### Articulation with UTS courses

  This course is part of an articulated program comprising the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration ([C11008](https://coursecoursehandbook.uts.edu.au/aos/current/c11008)), the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration ([C06009](https://coursehandbook.uts.edu.au/aos/current/c06009)), and the Master of Business Administration (MBA).
