What’s the difference between sport and exercise science and sport and exercise management?
Sport and Exercise Science will allow you to provide expert knowledge in the health and fitness industry, injury prevention, rehabilitation, strength and conditioning and sport and event contexts.
Sport and Exercise Management will give you the knowledge and management skills to build a career in managing sport and exercise programs, professional sporting teams and large sporting venues and facilities. - ### Will I get to complete a professional placement as part of my degree?
Yes – all Sport and Exercise students complete at least 140 hours of practical learning in their final year on either a practicum or internship placement within a national sporting organisation, school, professional club or local sporting competition. - ### Do I need to study a science subject in school to study sport and exercise?
No – the assumed knowledge for all UTS sport and exercise degrees are mathematics and any two units of English. There are no subject prerequisites. - ### What bridging courses are available if I want to brush up on my scientific knowledge?
UTS offers bridging courses in maths, physics and chemistry. These are typically one-week courses for students who aren’t confident that they have met the recommended studies for the course they’ve been offered. They aren’t a prerequisite for health degrees.
