What you’ll study
In your Economics studies, you’ll begin by completing a range of core subjects, developing your knowledge of quantitative methods, micro- and macroeconomics, policy and analysis and more. You’ll then get to curate your learning journey through your choice of electives, which include business internships and experimental economics.
Meanwhile, you’ll also complete core Law subjects to acquire knowledge in areas like contracts, torts, procedure and evidence. You can also choose to pursue a major in Legal Futures and Technology or to complete your choice of Law electives.

Course highlights
This program is designed to develop your knowledge and skills in legal theory and practice and build the analytical and quantitative capabilities required to respond effectively to economic challenges. Graduates of the Bachelor of Law meet the academic requirements to become practising lawyers in the state of NSW.
Industry accreditation
This course satisfies the academic requirements for admission to the Supreme Court of NSW as a lawyer. Once completed, you will also need to complete a practical legal training program, such as the Graduate Certificate in Professional Legal Practice (available at UTS) to be eligible for admission as a lawyer.
