## Study single subjects at UTS

As a domestic student, you can study individual subjects without committing to a full course. Learn more about non-award study and how to apply.

### What is non-award study?

Non-award study refers to enrolment in subjects that do not count towards a formal award course at UTS. It is only available to domestic students.

Students often undertake non-award study out of personal interest or to upgrade their skills or knowledge in a specific area covered by the subject.

### Entry requirements

To be considered for admission, you need to meet any prerequisites of your chosen subject. Some subjects have no prerequisites.

Check the access conditions of your [chosen subject in the UTS Handbook](https://www.handbook.uts.edu.au/subjects/index.html).

### How to apply

Applications for Autumn 2026 intake have closed.

Applications for Spring 2026 intake are open and will close on **28 June 2026**.
