Disclosing or sharing your password breaches UTS rules and policies. There are a number of security risks that could arise from sharing.

UTS has a self-service Password Reset facility that:

• enables you to reset your password online
• gives you a quick self-service way to reset your password without contacting IT Support for assistance
• enables you to reset your password from anywhere, anytime as long as you have access to the internet.

To reset your password, go to login.uts.edu.au/signin/forgot-password.

After you have reset your password, you will need to update your password on each device that is connected to UTS-WiFi.

Locked out of your account?

Entering an incorrect password five times will lock you out of your account for five minutes. This is a safeguard to prevent unauthorised users attempting multiple passwords to access your account. You will need to wait for your account to be unlocked, and then try again using the correct password. Resetting your password will not unlock your access.

• If you use a password manager, Mac keychain, or a browser autofill, remember to update it to reflect your newly reset password.
• If you have logged into multiple computers and did not log out, you may experience a computer lockout after a password reset. Try restarting your computer along with any computers that you may have logged onto.
• Ensure you update your password on any devices on the UTS-WiFi network.
