Creativity in entrepreneurship: How Caroline Lepron founded Skoutli
Caroline started her UTS journey as a Master of Management student in the UTS Business School. Creativity in entrepreneurship: How Caroline Lepron founded Skoutli transcript
Growing up in the south of France, I never knew I could become an entrepreneur.
All I knew was that I loved helping people solving complex problems, and that's what led me to my profession today.
I'm very excited to be the co-founder and CEO of Skoutli, a business providing unique and practical location fixes for the advertisement, film, and music industries.
Skoutli is the result of my passion for problem solving, my expertise in event management, and my love for photography.
I joined UTS Business School to do Master's of Management, with a specialty in event management. The lessons were always so collaborative, with teachers describing their industry experiences, and students from all over the world sharing exciting perspective that helped me become a more thoughtful leader.
I loved the practical elements of the course where we would complete site visits and work on different team projects.
Sydney is an amazing place to study. I love being around nature and being active, which is what made the UTS campus such a great environment for me.
It's close to the water and parks, and I could explore the city and live the lifestyle I wanted in between classes.
When I graduated, it was because of UTS' fantastic reputation amongst employers that I got offered a job right away.
And it was thanks to UTS Startups that I discovered my talents for entrepreneurship.
They provided me with office space, mentorship, and important industry connections.
It has been a challenge, but we've now grown to a team of 8 people with over 2800 locations listed, and expanding to Europe in the upcoming month.
The University of Technology Sydney helped me get to this point. My advice: believe in yourself and take a leap. Widen your horizon by working with people from different cultures and make connections that count.
UTS is the right place for young entrepreneurs looking to realise their dreams.
So, what are you waiting for?
