Applying to UTS with a STAT test result

If you haven’t met the selection rank required for your course, consider taking the STAT Multiple Choice.

Many of our courses consider STAT test results for admission. \ \ Find out what the STAT is, how to register and what courses don’t accept STAT results for admissions.

What is the STAT test?

The STAT Multiple Choice assesses several competencies considered important for university study.

With some exceptions, you can use your STAT result to apply for UTS courses. STAT results are valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

How do I register for the STAT?

The Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) administers the STAT test and runs several tests yearly. You can learn more and register by visiting ACER STAT (external page).

What courses do not accept STAT results for admission?

STAT is not accepted for scholarship courses, accelerated nursing courses, or single and combined law courses.

What does the STAT cost?
