## Accepting your offer
After receiving your Letter of Offer for candidature and a scholarship (if applicable), refer to the relevant section below (for domestic or international students) for how to accept your offer or defer your commencement date.
### Domestic students
- ### Step 1: Confirm your candidature start date
- ### Step 2: Activate your UTS email account
- ### Step 3: Set up multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- ### Step 4: Accept your offer online
- ### Defer your commencement date
### International students
- ### Step 1: Complete documentation
- ### Step 2: Pay your fees (if applicable)
- ### Step 3: Receive your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)
- ### Step 4: Apply for an Australian student visa
- ### Step 5: Enrol in your degree
- ### Defer your commencement date
### Offer lapse
Your candidature offer will lapse if you:
- don’t formally accept your offer by the deadline listed in your offer (international students)
- don't formally accept your offer by the [last day to enrol](https://www.uts.edu.au/for-students/current-students/managing-your-course/important-dates/academic-year-dates) for research courses (domestic students)
- are unable to commence after deferring for two sessions. In this case you will need to [submit a new application](https://student-portal.uts.edu.au/s/login/?ec=302&startURL=%2Fs%2F)
