Overview
To support a high achieving school leaver commencing a UTS Faculty of Health undergraduate degree.
Who is eligible
To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
- Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa; and
- Current school leaver or gap year student with an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) or equivalent score; and
- For the duration of the scholarship: full-time enrolment in a UTS Faculty of Health undergraduate degree including enrolment in their first year subjects (8 subjects) as full-time load.
Selection process
- Academic excellence at year 12 level, ranked in ATAR order, excluding bonus points.
- First UAC preferences to a UTS Faculty of Health undergraduate degree at the time of selection will be highly regarded.
- Candidates who have applied using the optional UTS online Elite School Leavers Scholarships Application form will be highly regarded.
- Motivation to succeed in the chosen Faculty of Health degree program, as demonstrated in the Scholarship application may be considered.
- Demonstrated initiative in personal and professional life as demonstrated in the Scholarship application may be considered.

Students who complete an application, will be considered for all UTS Elite School Leaver scholarships, as listed here (subject to meeting the eligibility criteria):
- Vice-Chancellor's Outstanding Achievement Scholarship
- Vice-Chancellor's Merit Scholarship
- Business Dean's Merit Scholarship
- Engineering and Information Technology Dean's Scholarship
- Law Dean's Scholarship
- Health Dean's Scholarship
- Science Dean's Scholarship
- Science Dean's Scholarship for Women
- UTS Science High Achiever's Scholarship
These scholarships are awarded automatically following the release of ATAR results in December, although you must be enrolling as a local student and have a University of Technology Sydney course preference on your UAC application to be eligible.
Applications closed
This scholarship has been awarded for 2025. If any scholarship places become available further offers will be made in January. Scholarship applications will re-open in August 2025 for 2026. Once these scholarships open for 2026 the application form for these scholarships will become available. Whilst the application form is not compulsory we strongly encourage students to apply.
