# STARR Upper Peninsula Scholarship Regulations

- The student recipient must enroll at MSU for the semester that the scholarship is awarded. The award may not be deferred to a subsequent semester of initial enrollment.
- Awards are limited to eight consecutive semesters of undergraduate enrollment. If a STARR Scholar’s enrollment is disrupted due to extenuating circumstances, the student must notify the Program Coordinator in writing.
- The award, in the amount of $20,000, will be divided into equal installments, typically between the fall and spring semesters of the academic year.
- Use of funds in a summer semester requires prior approval from the STARR Scholarship Program Coordinator and will count towards your total semesters. Students wishing to take summer courses may do so based on the following proration:
