The Council for the Arts at MIT (CAMIT) is made up of alumni and friends of the arts at MIT who support arts engagement at MIT. CAMIT funds [**grant programs**](#arts-projects-fund) to support arts projects among the MIT community. Additionally, the Council **[supports teaching and learning](#support-for-teaching)** with funding for arts engagement for classes and partnerships with local arts institutions.

#### Funding for the Arts
Funding up to $5,000 available through the Council’s Grants Committee for students, faculty, and staff. Student Mini Grants support small projects and prototyping, up to $500.

Initially launched as a pilot program funded by the Council for the Arts at MIT, the Visiting Artists in the Classroom program is now supported by CAST.

#### **Arts Access**
The Arts Access program, supported by CAMIT, underwrites museum admission for MIT faculty, staff, and students at the MFA, ICA, and Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
